Should Ukraine Returned MBBS Students Be Exempt from The NEET Exam?

In a plea to the Prime Minister of the country, AIADMK coordinator O. Panneerselvam has requested that Ukraine returned medical students should be exempt from the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET). The former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu thanked PM Modi for bringing back more than 14,000 medical students from the war-torn country and pointed out in a letter that the exam serves as an obstacle for the Ukraine returned students to get admission into Indian medical colleges (as per guidelines only students who have qualified the NEET exam are eligible for admission into MBBS, BSD & AYUSH courses in India).

The former CM of Tamil Nadu has requested the authorities including PM Modi to intervene and relax the rules for the students affected by the war in Ukraine as a special case such that they can continue their education in India. Many such students are worried about their future as no direction has been provided by the government. There are internal concerns that any special treatment for specific students will also lead to a backlash from latest year applicants with lower / borderline ranks, hence the government is taking time in their decision for the thousands of students affected

A glimmer of hope is that the NMC has allowed final year medical students from Ukraine to complete their mandatory 12-month internship in India, this however does not provide respite for junior students (first year to fourth year)

Does Quiz Based Gamification Work in Education?

Quiz-based gamification is a technique that uses the principles of game design to engage learners and encourage them to learn. It has been used in education sector for a long time.

The Quiz-based gamification is an interactive system that provides feedback and rewards to players based on their performance. The gamified system can be used to motivate learners by providing them with more rewards and feedback as they progress through the course or as they play games.

It has been found that quizzes are one of the most effective ways of engaging students in learning because it allows them to assess their knowledge, skills, and understanding at regular intervals. Gamification is the use of game design elements in non-game contexts. Gamification has been proposed to motivate students to learn better. Rewards can be an effective tool for encouraging positive behaviour. They can be used to motivate people to adopt healthier lifestyles, make healthier food choices, and even save more money. Rewards can also be used as a powerful tool for motivating employees at work. This is especially true for those who want to improve their performance and get ahead in their careers. Rewards are also a great way of motivating employees who may not enjoy their jobs or have low morale.

The future of education is game based. The current education system is not working. The traditional classroom model is inefficient and does not provide enough engagement for the students. It does not have a focus on creativity and critical thinking skills. This has led to an increase in enrolment in online courses, but the quality of these courses are questionable as well. We need to change the way we teach our children, and game-based learning is the answer.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct three major competitive exams in this and the forthcoming month. These tests include the NEET, JEE Main and CUET 2022. Up to this point, just the assessment dates for NEET and JEE Main tests have been declared. NTA is supposed to declare the test dates for CUET 2022 sooner or later. At this point, applicants appear to be on tenterhooks in regard to the accessibility of the admit cards / hall tickets. In any case, it should be noticed that before their arrival, the NTA will activate the advanced city intimation link for aspirants to check their exam centres and city

As per the authority notices, the advanced city intimation link is released seven days before the admit cards / hall tickets are released. The NTA (National Testing Agency) had previously declared the advanced city intimation for NCHMCT JEE and GAT-B tests 2022. Thus, there is a high possibility that a similar pattern will be followed for the NEET, JEE & CUET 2022 exams.

Since these exams are conducted across several centres across the country the advanced city intimation serves as a means for aspirants to check their centres by entering their application details (registration number, date of birth etc.). It should also be noted that the advanced city intimation link is not the actual admit card and is released by the NTA such that candidates can make necessary arrangements for their exams. After the link is released the admit cards typically follow through in a few days. Candidates need to ensure that the details mentioned on the admit card / hall ticket are correct. They also need to download and print the admit cards and carry them in good condition to the actual exam. It is also to be noted that candidates with incomplete registration details will not be issued admit cards by the NTA

Gamification of education has been conducted for a long time. The goal is to make education more fun and engaging for students. The use of gamification in the classroom can be traced back to the 1980s, when educator Jane McGonigal created a game called SuperBetter to help with mental health and wellness. This game consisted of challenges that helped players improve their physical and mental health by playing games on their own time. Gamification is being used as an educational technique because it helps students learn faster and better, increases attention span, and improves grades. It also makes learning more enjoyable for students by using games that are either designed or adapted from other genres such as social media, mobile apps, video games, or board games.

Rewards can be a powerful motivator for students to learn better. When teachers offer rewards, students are more likely to engage in the task at hand and work harder. Rewards may not always the best way to motivate students, but they can be effective when used appropriately and strategically. Teachers should plan a reward system that is appropriate for their classroom, their discipline, and their student population.

The Future of Education & the Importance of Interactive Learning with AI

AI has the potential to revolutionize education in the future. It can make learning more interactive, personalized, and engaging. But we should not be too quick to embrace AI-assisted learning. There are some ethical concerns about AI-assisted learning. For example, if a student is struggling with a subject or topic, should they be given help from an AI? Should this same type of help be offered to all students?

AI can help students learn better by providing personalized insights and recommendations for each student. AI-based learning systems can provide customized recommendations for students, based on their skills, interests, and learning goals. The use of AI in education is still at a very early stage in its development. A lot of work needs to be done with regards to the integration of AI into the educational system as well as how it will change the way we learn. Data is used to help teachers and educators make more informed decisions about what they teach. The use of data in education has been increasing over the past few years. Teachers are using data to make more informed decisions about what they teach. They are also using it to help students learn and understand concepts better. The way we learn is changing. With the introduction of AR and VR, learning can be more immersive and engaging. In this section, we will explore how AR and VR can improve learning. AR is a technology that overlays digital information on physical objects in the real world. It uses a smartphone or tablet to generate images on top of what you see in front of you. For example, if you were looking at your desk, you might see an overlay of information about a company's latest product launch.
