How Can Colleges Like DTU Improve the Future of Engineering Education In
India
A country's economy relies heavily on its engineers. Countries with high
numbers and quality of engineers are seen to be more technologically advanced,
as well as more economically stable, than those with lesser numbers and
quality. Engineers are in high demand across many industries, but especially in
the manufacturing industry where they are needed to develop new technologies
and innovations that make production processes more efficient, cost-effective,
and environmentally sustainable. Engineering colleges play an important role in
shaping a country's economy by producing the backbone for its workforce.
DTU has been working on improving the future of engineering education in India by collaborating with other institutions and organizations. DTU has collaborated with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) to create a new curriculum for engineering students. They have also partnered with IIM Ahmedabad to improve their management courses. DTU has also partnered with NITI Aayog, a government policy think tank, to develop a new engineering curriculum that is in line with the government's vision for India's future.
