What Is Data Science?
Data Science is a field of study
that has become popular in recent years. It is the use of data to gain insight
on what is happening in the world, and how we can make decisions based on that
information. The term "data science" was first used in a 1998 article
published in the International Journal of Intelligent Systems by
Piatetsky-Shapiro and Matheus. They define data science as "a field which
uses methods from statistics, probability theory, machine learning, pattern
recognition and database systems to extract knowledge or insights from
data". Data scientists are professionals who use their skills to find
patterns in large sets of data and then present their findings to others. They
are also responsible for creating new algorithms that allow companies to
process large amounts of information more efficiently.
Which Tools / Software’s Do Data
Science Professionals Use?
Data Science mostly involves
manipulating large sets of data to either visualize, process or create new
information. While there is not cookie cutter way to say that there are a set
of 10-15 tools every data scientist should be well versed in, we have compiled
a list of tools / software’s which employers prefer that their data science
teams use
·
Python
·
Spark
·
Aws
·
Excel
·
Sql
·
SAS
·
Keras
·
Pytorch
·
Scikit
·

What Is The Average Salary Of A Data
Scientist In The USA?
The simple answer to the question is
$101k. This is based on an assessment of thousands of publicly listed job roles
related to data science. The pay considerably varies with years of experience
by in a ballpark you can assume that the average pay of a data scientist can
vary between $20K per year (typically internships) to $300K+ (senior
management). In line with the theme of this article we analysed thousands of
publicly listed data science roles to provide the estimate (data snapshot shown
