The NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) 2022 counselling process will be initiated after the official results are declared by the NTA (expected in the second half of August). Please find below some of the key highlights related to the counselling process

Counselling
Dates: After the results are released (expected in August end or September
beginning). The NTA will release
their merit list for 15% AIQ (All India Quota) based on NEET scores & rank.
State wise merit lists will be released by the respective state authorities for
the 85% state quota

The
AIQ Counselling is conducted by the MCC and will be spread across 4 rounds
followed by 2 additional rounds (mop up & stray round). Candidates can
register for the NEET AIQ counselling on the official website: https://mcc.nic.in

All
state quota seats (85%) will be managed by the state specific counselling
authorities (this will also include private medical colleges in each state).
Counselling will be conducted based on the candidates rank in the state
specific merit list

NEET
Counselling 2022 Eligibility Criteria:
o Candidates need to have
a minimum of 50th Percentile in the NEET exam to be eligible for
counselling (40th Percentile for SC / ST / OBC and 45th
Percentile for PWD candidates)
o Candidates need to
register themselves on the MCC website
o NRI candidates need to
send their relevant documents to the mcc (ug.nri.mcc@gmail.com)
o Candidates will need to
follow / adhere to the university specific seat distribution in cases of certain
central institutions (DU, AMU, BHU, JMI etc.)
o OCI candidates will be
able to apply for the counselling process under the open / AIQ category

Last
year ~300 medical colleges had participated in the AIQ counselling. This year
an increase in the number of medical seats is expected

2022 Counselling Registration Procedure
1.
Visit
The Official MCC website: https://mcc.nic.in
2.
Click
on “New Registration” and enter your personal details (roll number, application
number, name, date of birth etc.)
3.
Login
by entering your roll number & password
4.
Pay
the fee for the counselling (varies between INR 500 and INR 5000 based on
candidate category and university type)
5.
Check
the details mentioned on the registration slip (download and print this for
future reference)
