Top Reasons to
Choose Northeastern University
1. Excellent Co-Op Program
Northeastern's co-op program is unquestionably one of
the main reasons for the university's success. If you aren't already aware, NU
students complete a 5-year program that includes three 6-month co-ops that
provide real-world work experience at prestigious companies around the world.
Students not only get paid and graduate, but they also frequently get full-time
offers after graduation.
2. ExamTime at the Marino Center
The Marino Center is a fantastic fitness facility. You
can not only burn calories on all of the cutting-edge equipment (including a
rock wall and multiple basketball/ volleyball/ broomball/ floor hockey courts),
but you can also gain them all back if you visit Au Bon Pain or Boloco.
3. Beautiful Boston Campus
Unlike most Boston universities, Northeastern has a
true "campus feel" while still enjoying all of the benefits of being
in the heart of one of the best cities in the world. Students flock to
Centennial Common as soon as the first warm sunny day arrives to lounge on the
grass or in the Adirondack chairs.
4. Easily accessible ExamTime
As much as the T stinks (and most Bostonians would
agree that it isn't the best subway system in the world), having the Green Line
run right through campus has its advantages, especially on the morning commute
to your co-op.
5. Various Clubs and Organizations
It would be a shame if a Northeastern student did not
take advantage of the university's fantastic clubs and organizations. Do you
have any unusual or eclectic interests? Don't worry, there's probably already a
club for it! If not, you can quickly establish a new club!
6. ExamTime
at Rebecca's Cafe
If you haven't had the pleasure of sampling a sandwich
from Rebecca's Café, you are truly missing out and should go right now and pay
an exorbitant price for one. It's worth it, believe me. They even have wraps
and sandwiches ready to go if you need to get back to work quickly.
7. International Education Programs
Northeastern University offers hundreds of
international study programs in countries all over the world. It's no surprise
that many students want to study abroad or work at a co-op abroad, given the
diverse student body. There are numerous opportunities to travel the world with
programs in over 50 countries.
8. Hockey
on Ice
What better way to show husky pride than to dress in
Northeastern's colors (red and black) and attend a hockey game at Matthews
Arena? There is nothing better than getting pumped up in the doghouse section
and screaming our chants among our fellow huskies.
