What Is The Full Form Of JEE?
The JEE stands for the Joint Entrance Exam. The JEE Mains exam is a national
level engineering entrance examination in India. It is conducted by the
National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate programs in
engineering and architecture in various colleges across India. Engineering is a
popular career among students in India because it is a lucrative profession
that offers high salaries, good job security and a wide range of opportunities.
The engineering sector in India is booming and the demand for engineers has
been increasing rapidly. This has led to an increase in the number of
engineering colleges in India. The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is one of the
toughest engineering entrance exams in India. It is a national level
engineering entrance exam conducted by the IITs and NITs for admission to
undergraduate courses in engineering and architecture.
Difference Between The JEE Mains & JEE Advanced
There is a difference in the difficulty level of the two exams. The JEE
Advanced exam is more difficult than the JEE Mains exam. The JEE Mains is used
for admission to the NITs, CFTIs and other reputed engineering colleges in
India. It is also a screening test for the JEE Advanced which is used for
admission to the IITs
How Many People Appear For The JEE Mains & JEE Advanced Every Year?
This year about 10 Lakh students will be appearing for the JEE Mains this
year (2022). Last year due to multiple slots a total for 22 lakh candidates had
registered for the JEE Mains 2021.
Why Is There So Much Hype To Get Into The IITs?
The Indian Institutes of Technology is a group of public engineering and
research universities in India. The IITs are among the most prestigious
academic institutions in the country. The IITs have a high reputation not just
within India but also abroad, with some of them ranking among the best
universities in the world. They have been ranked as the best universities for
engineering and technology according to QS World University Rankings for three
consecutive years. IITs have been world leaders in engineering education since
their inception. They are known for being some of the best educational
institutes in the world and for churning out some of the best engineers and
scientists. The IITs were established by an Act of Parliament on 19th August
1956, with a purpose to "promote research and advanced study in science,
technology, engineering, mathematics and other branches of knowledge".
IITs offer undergraduate programs leading to BTech (Bachelor of Technology)
or BE (Bachelor of Engineering) as well as postgraduate programs awarding MTech
(Master of Technology) or ME (Master of Engineering) degrees from their many
constituent institutes - Bombay, Delhi, Guwahat, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee
etc.
