The CUET (Central University Entrance Test) UG (Undergraduate) exam was conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency) between July 15th and August 30th 2022. Aspirants had to appear for at least one language paper, a domain specific paper and a general studies paper. Given that students could choose up to 6 domain specific tests (out of a total of 27), the exam was conducted across multiple slots spanning 6 distinct phases. The clear challenge for the NTA was to ensure normalized / fair marking which helped accurately assess the performance of students.

How Will The

By collaborating
with the Indian Statistical Institute Delhi, the NTA has formulated a
normalization technique called the “Equipercentile Method”. The method computes
